MINICHAMPS have just released a 1:18 scale replica of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series in Grey.

The new Black Series coupe is powered by a massive 6.0-litre AMG V12 engine which delivers 670 bhp and 738 lb·ft of torque, and is said to be the most powerful engine made by AMG. The car does 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds, and has an electronically limited top speed of 198 mph (319 km/h).

KYOSHO Coming Soon – Morris MINI Minor 1959

by David on December 4, 2009

KYOSHO is to release the Morris MINI Minor from 1959 in the 1:18 scale in quarter one of 2010. They will be releasing a red version and a white version as can be seen in their official pictures below. The replica looks nicely detailed (just like the majority of KYOSHO models), and I can’t wait to get a closer look at this classic.

The real MINI was produced by the British Motor Corporation (BMC), but it was not originally marketed under the MINI name. Instead it was marketed under two of BMC’s brand names, Austin and Morris, mainly as the Austin Seven or SE7EN, and the Morris Mini-Minor.  Approximately 1,190,000 Mark 1 MINIs were built during the 1960s.
